Coal mine industry is an important industry that affects the national economy and people’s lives. With the gradual improvement of coal mine production scale, the scope of application of mechanical and electrical equipment in coal mine industry is gradually expanding, and mechanical and electrical equipment has become an important factor affecting coal mine production. In this context, due to improper management of mechanical and electrical equipment, equipment losses, failures and safety accidents also increase, which has an impact on the safety and long-term development of the coal mining industry. This paper expounds the importance of the management of coal mine mechanical and electrical equipment, analyses the shortcomings existing in the current management of coal mine mechanical and electrical equipment, and puts forward several strategies to strengthen the management of coal mine mechanical and electrical equipment.
