This paper analyses the significance of the implementation of the provident fund system, and puts forward the main problems existing in the provident fund system, such as the imperfect decision-making mechanism of the provident fund system, the low coverage rate of the implementation of the provident fund system, the unbalanced development of the provident fund system, the cumbersome application procedures of the provident fund system, and so on. It elaborates on the reform of the provident fund system, such as establishing the legislative system of the provident fund, adapting the provident fund to the development trend of financial market, and reforming the management system of the provident fund, so as to guarantee people’s housing demand and create a good housing environment.
