模因视角下《论语》中儒家文化的英译本分析

An analysis of Confucian culture in the analects of Confucius——From the Perspective of Meme

《论语》的英译是西方理解中国文化的重要途径之一。通过对模因与《论语》中的儒家文化的不同译本的分析,可以发现模因正是文化传播的有效桥梁,而文化的传播也正是模因进化的结果。儒家模因正是在文化进化与模因论相结合的背景下通过中西方译者的不断努力实现其传播和传播的最终目标。

The translation of The Analects of Confucius into English is one of the important ways for the western world to understand Chinese culture. Many Chinese and Western translators have devoted a great deal of effort to the translation of Analects into English. This paper selects the typical translations of Chinese and Western translators and combines the theory of cultural evolution with the theory of Meme by analyzing comprehensively the identity, motivation and historical stage of the translator. This paper probes into the different features of the Analects of Confucius translation in different stages and the overall trend of the translation of the Analects of Confucius.
