论英语阅读教学中中西文化差异的协调

On the coordination of Chinese and Western cultural differences in English reading teaching

语言能传递一个国家、民族文化,受地域、环境、历史、生活习惯等因素影响,各国和各民族文化也存在一定的差异,所使用的语言也带着浓烈为鲜明的民族特征。特别是中西方国家,因所处不同文化背景,在思维模式、说法及理解也不同,容易产生误解。文章对英语阅读中西方文化进行分析,以期为我国英语教学提供可考察依据。

Language can transmit the culture of a country or a nation. Influenced by factors such as region, environment, history, living habits, and so on, there are certain differences in national and ethnic cultures, and the language used also has strong national characteristics. In China and the West, misunderstanding arises because of different cultural backgrounds,different thinking patterns, different statements and conceptions. This paper analyzes the cultural differences between China and the West in the course of English reading teaching in order to provide a reference for Chinese English teaching.
