The Study of the Stance of Translators in the Translation of CPC Literature

本文采取社会语言学的视角,以"立场"这一重要概念作为切入点,借鉴Du Bois对"立场"下的定义和提出的"立场三角",研究中央文献的英文翻译,探讨译者立场。在这个理论框架下,译者"立场"不再是传统意义上所言的固定不变的东西,而是动态变化的,是译者与其他相关各方共同构建出来的,也是基于译者对原作者和目标语读者的认识之上。

This paper takes the key concept of stance from the perspective of sociolinguistics and the definition of stance and “stance triangle” proposed by Du Bois to study the stance of translators of CPC literature, its features and expressions. In such a framework, stance is not viewed as fixed in the traditional sense, but dynamic, coconstructed by the translator and other related parties. Stance is based upon the translators’ recognition of the original author and the target reader.
