The concept of smart city can help the city to carry out reasonable construction and improve the level of urban management.Meanwhile,video surveillance technology should be applied to the construction of smart cities to effectively monitor the power,transportation and other systems.Therefore,this paper expounds the application status of video surveillance in the construction of smart cities,and emphatically analyses the application technology and measures of video surveillance in the construction of smart cities,so as to provide assistance for the sustainable development of cities.
