九叶派女诗人陈敬容的翻译赢得了当代一大批诗人的青睐。她以其诗学观念为指导进行翻译选材,体现了生命的辨认与契合;她以直译为翻译策略,既在信达雅中达到平衡,又保持了译诗的异质性;她对诗歌的音乐性有深刻的认识,采用自由体译诗,追求译诗的内在韵律。陈敬容是一位具有现代敏感的诗人,她的翻译在努力朝向他者的同时,又以返回自我为目的。在如今这个"世界文学"的时代,陈敬容的翻译观依然具有非常重要的指导意义。
Chen Jingrong,a poetess from “nine leaves school”based her translation on a thorough study of the author and the work to be translated and made choice about what was to be translated in accordance with her own poetics. She translated literally and by doing so she managed to strike a balance between “faithfulness,smoothness and elegance”while at the same time maintained the heterogeneity in the translated work. She had quite a profound understanding of the musicality of poetry. In poetry translation she adopted free verse and by making full use of the musical effects of Chinese language she succeeded in forming internal rhythm in the translated poems. She was a poetess with modern sensibility. She translated for the benefit of Chinese language and Chinese modern poetry. In this era,Chen Jingrong’s views on translation still remain instructive and of great importance.
