重申“道统”:反思民族国家的限度

Reaffirming Dao Tong:Reflecting on the Limits of Nation States

西方国家近年来所出现的政治乱象,从西方政治学的角度看,是政治议程和制度设置突破了构建民族国家的伦理约定,导致政治过度和契约瓦解,而从中国传统政治经验看,则是"治统"僭越了"道统",国家丧失了检验政治合理性的稳定机制。卡尔·施米特和保罗·卡恩的政治神学,则重申了神圣性在政治体系中的作用。以选举合法性为准则的当代政治已显现其乖戾,政治不仅需要合法,也需要正当有效。重申"道统"、回归"政治神学",是建构适度政治的关键所在。

In recent years,the West has witnessed its politics in disarray. The phenomena,viewed from the perspective of Western political studies,manifest themselves in political overreach and covenant dissolution after a failed attempt on the part of political agenda and institutions to break free from the ethical agreement constitutive of nation-state building,while seen from China’s traditional experience of politics,they are failures on the part of nation states in maintaining political legitimacy out of an arrogation of Rule by Governance( Zhi Tong) over Rule by Dao( Dao Tong). Political theologies of Carl Schmitt and Paul Kahn,in response,reaffirmed the role that sanctity plays in politics. Modern politics based on electoral legality has gone so far as to call forth a return to political legitimacy. Reaffirming Dao Tong and returning to Political Theology is essential to building moderate politics.
