Brief Discussion on Su Shi's Tea Poetry During His Exile

苏轼一生多难,由于屡遭贬谪,他不停地进行地域迁徙,其间创作了大量茶诗,这部分作品,无论是谢茶、种茶还是煎茶诗,都本于茶事而高于茶事,且颇具地方特色,是苏轼文学创作中值得关注的内容。相关作品往往折射出苏轼达观开朗的生活态度,表现出其与命运抗争时的精神特质,并承载了作者非凡的人格魅力。

The whole life of Su Shi was full of frustration. Because of being demoted repeatedly in his political career, he migrated from one place to another and he wrote quite a few tea poems on the road. The theme of Su Shi’s tea poetry, including thanks-expressing before tea-drinking, tea-planting and tea-making, were based on the tea affairs with much more implications than the tea itself and full of local characteristics. Tea poetry was a remarkable part of Su Shi’s literary works, and poems showed us Su Shi’s philosophical attitude towards life, his spiritual trait when he was fighting against unfair fate, as well as his extraordinary charisma.
