Based on entropy method for weight determination and introduced coordination degree and the coordinate developmental models, the evaluation index system of coordination degree is constructed by taking eight cities along the middle-lower Yangtze River from 2007 to 2016 as the research object. Then, the evaluation index system of coordination degree is used to empirically research the status of ecological environment and economy coordinated development. Research conclusions: Firstly, ecological environment and economic quality of cities along the middle-lower Yangtze River have been greatly improved, and economic development is that cities along the lower reaches of the Yangtze River are better than those along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, while the development of ecological environment is the opposite. Secondly, coordinated development of ecological environment and economy of cities along the middle-lower Yangtze River is as follows: before 2012, it was basically out of balance;in 2012-2014, the transition from low-level to middle-level;after 2014, cities along the lower reaches of the Yangtze River are between good and general level, and cities along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River have reached a high quality level.
