This paper expounds the development process of AI, analyses the development situation and industrial structure. On the basis of further analysis of the demand of AI industry and the construction of AI specialty in China, it puts forward the orientation of AI from the aspects of thinking transformation, platform construction, mechanism innovation, pro. fessional structure, curriculum system, teacher construction, school-enterprise cooperation and innovation ability cultivation, suggestions on the development of AI technology and applied specialty group in the new era.
