Several common fault types of power transformer are introduced,such as short circuit fault,insulation fault,automatic trip fault and oil quality problem.This paper analyses the fault diagnosis methods of power transformer,and puts forward some measures to do well in the maintenance of power transformer from the aspects of doing well in the regular inspection and inspection of power transformer,strictly following the relevant stipulated steps,doing well in-line detection,and improving the technical level of maintenance personnel,so as to achieve the goal of safe power consumption and promote the stable development of the power industry.
