Empirical Research of the Relationship between English Debate and College Students' Critical Thinking Development

英语辩论作为语言学习者进行语言高水平综合输出的末端环节,有助于提升语言学习者对社会现象的批判能力,在短期内提高学习者语言表达能力,且其批判性思维也会得到相应的提高;但辩论在具体实施过程中存在一定的不足。主要从英语辩论的角度出发,探讨它在提升大学生批判性思维中的作用以及实施策略。

English debate is the end of the high-level comprehensive output of language learners,which is conducive to improving the critical ability of language learners to social phenomena,improving the language expression ability of learners in a short term,and improving the critical thinking of debaters.However,there are some deficiencies in the implementation of the debate.This paper,from the perspective of English debate,discusses the role of English debate in improving college students'critical thinking and implementation strategies.
