Using 29 salt-insensitive accessions earlier screened from 710 potato germplasm resources as materials, their plant hight, root number and fresh weight per plant and chlorophyll content were measured after cultured in MS containing 0.75% NaCl for 20 days. Based on these four indexes and their salt tolerance coefficients, the salt tolerance of the tested accessions were comprehensively evaluated by the clustering analysis of the membership function of the index value and their salt tolerance coefficients. Two highly salt-tolerant accessions, SD400 and SD751, were screened out. Their salt tolerance was identified under 1.00% and 1.25% NaCl, and the results showed that they had strong adaptability to 1.00% NaCl stress. Under 1.00% NaCl stress, the chlorophyll content of SD400 and SD751 were 27.52% and 53.59% of that of control, the plant height was 21.92% and 29.05% of that of control, and the root number per plant was 26.21% and 45.07 of that of control, respectively. SD751 also grew in a micro amount under 1.25% NaCl stress.
