Exploration and Practice of Enhancing Patriotic Education in College English Teaching

利用学科交叉进行爱国教育是大学教育的一新趋势。大学英语因其特殊优势,更被推崇为学科交叉渗透爱国教育的一个重要学科。文章以大学英语为平台,对中西文化进行比较,强化中华文化,提升大学生对中华文化的认同感,进而增强大学生的爱国意识。

Permeating Patriotic education into other subjects is a new trend in college education.Due to its advantages,English is considered as an important platform to permeate patriotic education.This research compared Western culture with Chinese culture in English teaching,and found that the method can increase students’feeling toward Chinese culture and enhance their patriotism.
