On the basis of retaining many advantages of alkyl glycosides, the derivatives also solve the disadvantages that alkyl glycosides are hardly soluble in water and have poor resistance to hard water. The alkyl glycoside derivatives have mild properties and have obvious advantages in decontamination and safety. This paper discusses the synthesis of alkyl glycoside derivatives and their development prospects in the field of cleaning.
