Project-based Learning Curriculum Design to Improve Students' Independent Learning Ability

自主学习能力是实现终身学习的必备能力,只有具备自主学习能力,才能不断更新知识和技能,以满足世界快速变化的需求。药学创新实验课程通过课程设计,将药物化学(或天然药物化学)、药物分析、药物制剂、药理学的教学内容,通过完成药物研究项目的形式整合,采用项目式教学方式,将能够促进学生练习自主学习能力的教学元素融合到课程教学中,促进学生掌握学习任务制定及管理、调查研究、批判思考、反馈评估等相关技巧。学生三人一组,自主完成一个药物研究项目,教师的职责是提供必要的反馈和引导,以提高学习质量。5年的教学实践及学生反馈显示,项目式学习有利于自主学习能力的提高。

Independent learning ability is an essential skill in life-long learning.People who possess it can update knowledge and skills to meet the demand of this fast-changing world.The innovative experiments in pharmacy integrates knowledge in Pharmaceutical Chemistry,Pharmaceutical Analysis,Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology into drug research projects,using project-based teaching method which combines elements that can promote students independent learning ability.Students are able to learn skills concerning making and management of study plans,conducting f investigations,critical thinking,feedback and evaluation.Students are divided into three-people groups to independently complete a research project,while teachers only offer basic feedback and guidance to improve the learning quality.Five-year teaching experiences show a significant improvement in students independent learning ability.
