This paper elaborates the course of the Chinese powder coatings industry's development in 40 years of reform and opening up from the start to growth, rapid development and the highest output in the world, introduces the development of the powder coatings, raw materials (polyesters, epoxies, additives and curing agents) and powder making equipment industries as well as the roles played by important cnterpriscs and scientific research institutions with a lot of data and materials, and points out that promoting the global powder coatings industry's technological progress and development has become a future goal.
