Obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) is a common disease in sleep medicine. The incidence of OSAHS has been increasing year by year. This disease mainly causes damage to the human body through chronic intermittent hypoxia and sleep fragmentation, resulting in multiple system damage such as breathing, circulation, and metabolism. The special environment of hypoxia at high altitude causes frequent central apnea, which coexists with obstructive apnea, and the patient′s condition is more complicated. Therefore, it is necessary to study the patients with OSAHS at high altitude. This article reviews the current research on epidemiological characteristics, pathological mechanisms, organ function, sleep monitoring characteristics and treatment.
