This paper summarizes professor CHENG Yan’s clinical experience in the treatment of pediatric obstinate eczema.She deems that pediatric eczema is caused by heat acquired from congenital diseases and fetal toxicosis or accumulation of wind-dampness and noxious heat attacking the skin.Meanwhile,she attaches great importance to the theory of TCM constitution,and believes that eczema occurs frequently in children with heterogeneous constitution and is closely related to the"frequent insufficiency of spleen".She holds that the main treatment should be reinforcing spleen to promote digestion,clearing away heat and toxical material,as well as removing heat from the blood and expelling the wind.
