摘要 In ancient times, people in China used a him ting weapon called a bolas. It was a long rope with one end tied to a stone ball. The hunter, with the other end tied around his arm, would capture the wild animal by casting the stone ball toward the animal as he approached it. When thrown, the hunting weapon would entangle the animal s leg, thus tripping tlie animal. This ancient rope was the embryonic foiin of the wushu lasso weapons used by the later generations.
