The Current Status and Development Strategy of Mineral Resources in the United States

矿产资源是重要的自然资源,是社会经济发展的物质基础,也是国家安全战略中优先考虑的因素之一。本文主要调查了美国矿产资源开发的产业现状,重点介绍美国地质调查局、土地管理局以及能源部这几个重点机构的矿产资源相关战略体系,重点阐述和分析其战略特征,希望能够对我国在当前国际形势下矿产资源综合开发利用战略的制定和开展相关工作起到借鉴作用。

Mineral resources are important natural resources vital to human survival and consisting the material basis of economic and social development, and even are of strategic significance to national security. This paper investigates the current status of the mineral resources development in the United States, discusses the mineral resources related strategic system of the US Geological Survey, the Bureau of Land Management and the Department of Energy, focusing on and analyzing their strategic characteristics, with the aim of providing constructive suggestion and advice for the mineral resources development in the new economic and social situation of China.
