济宁市公共服务领域英文译写规范化研究

Study on the Standardization of C-E Translation in Public Service Areas in Jining

以《公共服务领域英文译写规范》为比较范本,对济宁市公示语翻译现状进行调查。发现济宁市公示语翻译的主要问题在公交站名的翻译,翻译标准不一,缺乏规范性,随意性强,错误严重;有些公示语翻译按原文字面直译,不符合英语公示语的规范要求;受汉语负迁移的影响,宣传语中中式英语泛滥。针对公示语翻译中的问题提出规范英文译写的建议。

Based on the National Guidelines for the Use of English in Public Service Areas, this article makes a survey on the status quo of the translation of public signs and finds the problems in the standardization of C - E translation in public service areas in Jining: high frequency of error in C - E translation of names of pub-lic places, inconformity in translation principles, lack of standardization, arbitrariness in translation, word - for - word translation of public signs, and Chinglish in translation. The article puts forth suggestive ideas for the standardization of C - E translation in public service areas.
