Building skin is the most superficial layer of the building that people can feel visually and is an important carrier of architectural form. Excellent skin design endows the building with unique personality and temperament, thus enhancing the artistic value of the building. The building skin is an important enclosure component of the building itself besides the structure. As a transitional medium between the interior and exterior of the building, it provides protection for the building components, delimits the interior and exterior and creates a private space. The traditional view requires that the appearance of a building should be coordinated and unified with its functions. In recent years, this view has been gradually diluted. With the innovation, development and application of new materials and technologies, the building skin and the main structure are gradually separated into a curtain and a pure skin, and its composition is becoming more and more rich and diverse.
