Liu Yuxi lived in Langzhou for ten years. In Quyuan’s hometown, the mountains and rivers of Chu gave him endless inspiration. His close life experience made Liu Yuxi and Quyuan resonate. Both Quyuan’s unswerving spirit of resistance, his persistence in the pursuit of truth and his thoughts about his family and country have injected new connotations into Liu Yuxi’s poems, while Chu’s scenery and folk songs have provided creative content for Liu Yuxi’s creation. Quyuan’s tradition of“vanilla beauty”has injected new vitality into Liu Yuxi’s poems.
