摘要
After more than 30 years of growing at an average annual rate of nearly 10%, China experienced pronounced deceleration in economic growth since 2011 (Tian, 2019). By 2016, the annual rate of GDP growth had fallen to 6.7%, the lowest since 1990 (Lin, 2019). Given the significant role that China plays in the world economy, the slowdown of the Chinese economy may have far-reaching implications. In this issue, we present a symposium on the deceleration in China's economic growth, exploring its causes and appropriate policy responses.
