英美文学教学“文化研究”新视域的转换

The Conversion of a New Perspective of “Cultural Study” in British-American Literature Teaching

针对高校英语专业英美文学教学"重语言轻文学"的状况,提出在英美文学教学中应致力于"文化研究"新视域的转换,它指文学跨越了多种学科边界,走向了文化,因而该转换将文学视为一种观念文化,学习文化的过程也是提升学生全面的人文素养的过程。考察了"文化研究"作为一种新视域转换的教学理论依据,并结合英美文学课堂教学具体探讨了四个方面的转换,涉及人文精神、文学外部研究、发散性研究、跨文化研究等,取得了一定的课堂实践效果。不仅在理论层面为英美文学教学研究提供了一个新视角的支持和论证,而且给具体的英美文学教学改革提供了实践思路。

In view of the fact that language skills carry more weight in British-American literature teaching,it is proposed that pedagogical reforms in British-American literature teaching for English majors should change their orientation towards a new perspective-“cultural study”.It means that literature has crossed the boundaries of various disciplines and moved towards culture.Therefore,the transformation regards literature as a conception culture and the process of learning culture is also a process of improving the comprehensive humanistic quality of English majors.This paper examines the theoretical basis of“cultural study”and discusses four aspects of the conversion in combination with literature classroom-teaching involving humanistic spirit,external literature research,divergent research,and cross-cultural research,etc..All the above are also proved very effective in classroom teaching practices.In summary,this paper not only provides the support and argument for the new perspective of Britain-American literature research,but also provides practical suggestions for the classroom teaching of British-American literature.
