《国清百录》是十分珍贵的先唐文献来源,收录了许多皇帝、官员与僧侣来往的文书。严可均虽根据《国清百录》收录了一些陈、隋两代的文章,并辑入《全上古三代秦汉三国六朝文》的《全陈文》《全隋文》中,但仍有漏收之作。此外,严氏好删削原文,把原文中一些相对不重要的部分摒弃,如皇族、官员的施物牒以及文书落款。这些漏缺的文章、文字能更好对陈、隋两代统治阶级的宗教思想、活动进行考察,从而对当时崇佛之风有更深的认识,具有较大的文献价值。

Records before the Tang Dynasty is a precious source of documents of Tang Dynasty.It reveals the relationship among emperors,officials and monks.Though Yan Kejun has replenished some articles of Chen and Sui dynasties according to the record,there is still something missed.On the other hand,Yan was likely to omit official documents such as charity lists,badges and so on.These omissive information can give readers better recognition for the religions thoughts,activities of Chen and Sui dynasties as well as deeper understanding of the prevailing Buddhist worship,which possesses high document values.
