萤可以说是中国古典诗歌的传统意象之一,在杜甫的诗歌创作中共有11首涉及萤,他将自己的人生体验融入到萤意象当中,使得萤意象成为其表达内心世界的载体。总的来看,杜甫笔下萤意象的情感意蕴主要有四种:一是借车胤囊萤苦读之典感慨自身怀才不遇;二是借萤生存之环境发物是人非、时光流逝之叹;三是借萤生存之状态表寂寞伶仃、漂泊无依之悲;四是对卑微弱小、不能自持之物的恤悯情怀。
