摘要
田纳西·威廉斯的《玻璃动物园》《热铁皮屋顶上的猫》《欲望号街车》都是以"家庭"为核心空间背景展开叙事的。文章以空间叙事学和文学伦理学批评为研究视角,将威廉斯的"三大杰作"置于当时的美国南方社会伦理环境中,分析戏剧文本中家庭空间对个体独特性的锻造作用以及与家庭伦理环境的建构关系,考察文本人物如何在其家庭空间格局中找到一方属于自己且舒适的空间,以自己身处的空间位置表征自己的合法伦理身份。通过对"三大杰作"中的家庭伦理环境描写与人物伦理身份的逐步揭示,威廉斯创作了一个梦想空间,让人物走进去并做出伦理选择,借由人物的伦理表达揭示戏剧文本所要传达的伦理教诲价值。
The Glass Menagerie,Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and A Streetcar Named Desire of Tennessee Williams,are narrated against the family as the core of space background.From the perspective of spatial narrative and ethical literary criticism,this paper puts Williams’“three masterpieces”into the ethical environment of southern American at that time,analyzes the forging effect of family space on individual uniqueness in the theatrical text and the construction relationship with the family ethical environment.It investigates how a character in the text to find their own and comfortable space in their family space and characterizes their legal ethical identity by their spatial location.Through the description of the family ethical environment and revealing the character’s ethical identity in the“three masterpieces”,Williams created a dream space for the characters to enter and make ethical choices,and through the character’s ethical expression,he revealed the ethical teaching value to be conveyed in the drama text.
