论不平等条约与国家自由——以《民报》为考察对象

On Unequal Treaties and National Freedom——Taking Citizen's Newspaper as Object of Study

《民报》学人认为,条约是国家与国家之间的合意,即使人民不满意,也只能遵守条约,但是我们可以和平地废除不平等条约,实现国家自由。这虽然表达了《民报》学人的和平希望,但是要废除不平等条约也是要以国家实力为后盾的。

Writers of the Citizen’s Newspaper thought that a treaty is an agreement between nations, even if the people are dissatisfied, we can only abide by the treaty, but we can peacefully abolish the unequal treaty and realize national freedom, which expressed the hope for peace of the writers of the Citizen’s Newspaper, but the abolition of unequal treaties must also be backed by state power.
