Taxidermy of dried fish prototype specimens

鱼类原色干标本是向大众展示鱼类形态最为直观的一种途径。以鲤、鲫和草鱼为对象,采用原色剥制的方法,制作了数尾鱼类标本。方法如下:先将鱼皮完整地剥离下来,经过对鱼皮脱脂、防腐处理,使得标本不易腐败;进而用聚氨酯发泡剂经发泡制作假体并打磨后填充塑形,大幅减轻了标本重量;最后将鱼皮切口处粘合,安装假眼,上色涂漆,获得标本。该方法制作的标本形态逼真,具有良好的观赏和教学价值。相对于浸泡标本而言,剥制的鱼类原色干标本不易褪色,便于运输和布展,且避免了浸泡标本因药液挥发对空气的污染和对人体健康的危害,具有较大的应用价值和市场前景。

Dried fish prototype specimens is a very intuitive way to display fish to the public. Here, some specimens of cyprinus carpio, carassius auratus and ctenopharyngodon idellus were prepare by prototype taxidermy. The method is shown below. First, the whole fish skin was peeled off, degreased by alcohol and treated with preservative so that specimens were not susceptible to corrosion. Then, foamed polyurethane was moulded and filled in the fish body to shape and which is also beneficial to reduce the weight of specimens. And finally, after the skin incision was glued, artificial eyes were installed and the fish skin was colored and paint, we have obtained some dried fish prototype specimens. These fish specimens have good ornamental and teaching value because they look like live fish. Dried fish prototype specimens made through taxidermy were less susceptible to discoloration, easier to transport and exhibition, safer to both environment and human health than soaking specimens, and will have great application and market prospect.
