The application and research of large rotating wedge in the side shaping die of the outer plate of the automotive top cover has been introduced in the text. By use of a large rotating wedge on side shaping die of the outer plate of the automotive top cover, the negative angle shaping of lap area between the top cover and the front windshield glass has been solved, and the switch between the punch slider and the side shaping state has been realized, which effectively shortens the working stroke in the direction of the length and width of the die, and at the same time realizes the controllable flow of the curved edge side shaping process in order to satisfy the part surface difference accuracy and appearance quality requirements. The actual production shows that the structure can effectively solve the problem of plastic wrinkling and rebound, which effectively reduces the size of the die, saves the development cost of the tooling, and shortens the debugging cycle.
