The extensive and intensive cross-cultural communication between the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean in the Amana age characterized by the transmission of Amana letters, are the earliest examples of human cross-cultural communication. This article mades a comprehensive review of the relevant core- concepts such as “the Mediterranean and the Mediterranean world”,“the Amana letter and the Amana age”,”the spiritual communication and the cross-cultural communication”, and has an analysis on the current related researchs.
