Facing difficult employment circumstance of college students in China,education for innovation and pioneering has regarded as the base of cultivating high-level professionals,also faces the pressure of applicability reform and development.The intelligent construction,as a new composite engineering major proposed by the national strategy and the upgrading and transformation of the construction engineering industry,integrates some majors like mechanical manufacturing and automation,electronic information and automation and engineering management,will bring a technical reformation to the construction engineering industry.For colleges and universities,the raising of intelligent construction major provides new ideas for the innovation and pioneering for students majoring in civil engineering.This paper expounds the background of the setting of intelligent construction major,the current situation in the field of civil engineering,and the great changes brought to the civil engineering industry by the intelligent construction technology in concepts,technologies and modes,and puts forward new ideas of innovation and pioneering for college students based on intelligent construction.
