The Problem of Xianbei Yifu in The new Epitaphs

《陕西新见隋代墓志》一书刊布两方墓志,志主分别为赵明和尹昇。《尹昇墓志》称其曾"随柱国乙弗贵援颍川";《赵明墓志》记其"本姓赵氏,改姓乙弗",志文内容与北朝乙弗氏部族成员密切关联。乙弗氏本身族群较小,见诸文献记载的人物较少,考古资料亦不多见,《赵明墓志》和《尹昇墓志》在补充正史文献记载方面具有重要价值,同时也为研究乙弗氏与北朝鲜卑政权的姻亲关系、汉化政策以及鲜卑化政策的推行和史实等提供了重要的出土文献资料。

Two epitaphs are published in The Newly-Founded Epiataph of Sui Dynasty in Shaanxi, the owners of the epitaphs are Yin Sheng and Zhao Ming respectively, and they are both ancient northwest ethnic minorities. The Epitaph of Yin Sheng recorded that he used of follow Yifu Gui with troops to support Henan Ying Chuan. The Epitaph of Yifu Ming recorded his original surname was Zhao, and later changed of Yifu. The contents of these two epitaphs are closely related to Xianbei Yifu family. They are of great value in supplementing the official historical documents. The also provide important unearthed documents further investigation of the in-law relationship between Yifu and Xianbei, the implementation.
