论西汉置西河平周县地望

Research of Pingzhou County of Xihe Prefecture in the Western Han Dynasty

西河郡是汉武帝元朔四年(前125年)分上郡北部置,行政区划汉在今黄河晋陕峡谷两岸,领三十六县,其中平周县属西河郡。唐宋以来传统的说法一直认为汉平周故城位于今山西介休县西,随着一些带铭文画像石的出土对于平周县的地望,许多学者提出了不同意见,但也遗留一些问题,通过前人观点的分析、总结,并结合近年来出土的考古新资料,论证西河郡平周县地望。

Xihe Prefecture was set up in the northern part of the Shangjun Prefecture in the 4 th year of Yuanshuo of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty (125 B.C.). Its administrative devision was on the both sides of today’s Shanxi-Shaanxi Gorge of the Yellow River, governing 36 counties, in which Pingzhou County belongs to Xihe Prefecture. Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, the traditional view had been that the old city of Pingzhou County was located in the west of today’s Jiexiu County, Shanxi Province. With the excavation of some stone sculptures with inscriptions, many scholars have put forward different opinions, but some problems still remained. Through the analysis and summary of predecessors’ viewpoints and combined with the new archaeological data unearthed in recent years, this paper demonstrates the history and location of Pingzhou County in Xihe Prefecture.
