This paper summarizes the characteristics of knitted fabrics in application mode, summarizes the application of knitted fabrics in modern textile design, and analyses the innovative application mode of knitted fabrics in modern textile design in view of the limitations of knitted fabrics and the problems in application. The article shows that knitted fabrics are monotonous and not fashionable enough, and lack of innovative elements in use,which is not in line with the current fashion trend. Exploring the innovative application mode of knitted fabrics in textile design can make the textile products developed and manufactured more novel and unique, and help to meet the needs of consumers for personalized fashion design of textile products.
