The Influence of Western Traditional Aesthetics on Shanxi traditional houses——A Case Study of Longsheng Village in Inner Mongolia

在清末民初"西风东渐"的背景下,山西商旅在对外贸易往来中,潜移默化地受到西方文化理念及生活方式的影响,这种影响通过走西口文化和旅蒙文化进一步向北扩散至内蒙古地区,晋商将西方的建筑形式、风格及生活方式,巧妙地渗透、融合进晋风民居,形成具有特定时代气息的北方民居特点。

During the period of Late Qing and early Republic of China, the Shanxi business travel was influenced by the western cultural and the way of life in foreign trade, and has spread this influence further to the Inner Mongolia region through the Xikou culture and the Mongolian culture. They took the western architectural form , style and way of life, ably in Shanxi building infiltration and integration, so forming a unique Inner Mongolia traditional houses with a specific era of flavor.
