人民主体思想是马克思主义唯物史观的应有之义。党的历代领导人将人民主体思想蕴含于马克思主义中国化的历史进程中,并贯彻落实于治国理政中,形成了一脉相承的人民主体思想。新时代,面对日益严峻的各种挑战和实现中华民族伟大复兴的历史使命,党的领导人从理论和实践层面实现了对人民主体思想的继承和发展,赋予了人民主体思想全新的时代内涵。

The thought on people’s position as masters of the country( "the thought") is the proper meaning of the Marxist historical materialism. The previous CPC leaders have adhered to the thought in the historical process of adapting Marxism to the Chinese conditions, and implemented it in the governance of China, thus maintaining the continuity of the thought. In the face of the increasingly severe challenges and the historical mission of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era,the Party leaders have inherited and developed the thought from the theoretical and practical perspectives, and imbue it with new meaning of the times.
