This paper briefly describes the use of ArcGIS to compile a geographical name census zoning map in the working area,analyses the ArcGIS processing tools used in the mapping process and the setting of standardization,symbolization of the map,summarizes several advantages of using ArcGIS in the mapping process of the geographical name census zoning map,and provides reference for the production of the geographical name census zoning map.
