摘要
牙周炎是发生于牙周支持组织的炎症性疾病。动脉粥样硬化是心血管疾病的主要原因,是由脂质代谢紊乱引起的代谢性疾病。流行病学调查显示牙周炎有增加动脉粥样硬化及其相关疾病的风险,但二者之间具体联系尚不明确。因此建立有效的牙周炎和动脉粥样硬化动物模型具有重要意义。本文就牙周炎和动脉粥样硬化鼠类模型建立的进展进行综述。
Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease occurring in periodontal support tissues. Atherosclerosis, a metabolic disease caused by disorders of lipid metabolism, is a major cause of cardiovascular disease. Epidemiological surveys show that periodontal infection increases the risk of atherosclerosis and related diseases. However, the relationship between periodontitis and atherosclerosis has not yet been clarified. Therefore, to explore the relationship and the potential mechanism between these two diseases, it is of vital importance to establish an effective animal model for periodontitis and atherosclerosis. In this article, recent advances in the primary methods for es- tablishing atherosclerosis and periodontitis murine models are summarized.
