A Pragmatic Functional Analysis of Discourse Markers in Turn-Taking in Gone with the Wind

话语标记语为话语理解提供方向,是说话人明示话语意图的手段,是听话人推导话语意义的标识。话轮转换是会话分析的核心问题,本文以话轮转换机制为理论基础,以小说《飘》中的对话为研究语料,探讨话语标记语在话轮获得、话轮保持、话轮放弃中的语用功能,为话语标记语的研究提供一个新的视角。

Discourse markers make a great contribution to successful communication,which are not only a way of indicating the speaker’s intention but also a mark of the hearer’s inference of discourses.Turn-taking is the central issue in conversation analysis.Taking the turn-taking system as theoretical framework,this paper analyzes a pragmatic function of discourse markers in Gone with the Wind,including turn-taking,turn-holding and turn-yield.This search provides a new perspective to the relationship between turn-taking and discourse markers.
