《喜福会》中三种不同婚姻隐喻下的文化认同研究

摘要 《喜福会》是谭恩美的成名之作。在美国,以谭恩美为代表的华裔作家的混血文化身份总是处于美国主流文化与中国传统文化的夹缝中,难以被其中任何一方接受或同化,因而产生文化认同问题。于是作者试图通过作品中三种不同婚姻隐喻不同文化认同方式:无条件无自我的婚姻,隐喻无条件对美国主流文化认同;平分秋色的婚姻,隐喻一分为二式对美国主流文化认同;祖源国传统文化干扰的婚姻,隐喻传统文化干扰下对美国主流文化认同。而这三种婚姻均以失败落幕,自然隐喻三种失败的文化认同方式。但是作者并不气馁,从失败中总结经验教训,以其中一个家庭的女儿的二次婚姻隐喻找寻适合文化身份认同的最佳方式,即学会抗争与包容乃至融合,做文化传播桥梁。 “The Joy Luck Club” is Amy Tan’s famous masterpiece. In America,Chinese-American writers,represented by Amy Tan,are in the cracks of mainstream American culture and Chinese traditional culture. Since it is difficult to be accepted by either side they have problems of cultural identity. Three marriage metaphors can reflect various cultural identities. The marriage that you lose yourself completely symbolizes merging into American mainstream culture absolutely. The half-half marriage symbolize the integration of both culture. The interference of native culture to the marriage symbolize the interference of native culture to American culture identity. Although the three types of marriage failed the writer didn’t give up. By the second daughter’s second marriage,the writer presented the expectation of seeking suitable cultural identity.
