This paper will mainly introduce the magnetotelluric sounding, and elaborate its basic principle, and analyze the general situation of magnetotelluric sounding in mine geological resources exploration with case analysis. It focuses on the application of magnetotelluric sounding in geological exploration. After processing, magnetotelluric sounding captures abundant information, including shallow and deep electrical information. The favorable position has been determined and good exploration results have been achieved. Combined with the case, further introduction of magnetotelluric sounding has been made. The specific situation of geological resources exploration in the mining area has been analyzed, which provides an important basis for further exploration of mineral resources in the mining area.
