With the development of social science and technology, the technology of terrain mapping by UAV aerial photography becomes more and more mature. Through studying the application of small UAV in surveying and mapping of large scale topographic map, combined with actual production, this paper has carried on many surveying and mapping experiments to UAV, and has carried on detailed research on mapping flow and key technology of UAV aerial survey. It provides reference data for the development of small UAV in the field of surveying and mapping.
