The Change from Non-narration to Narration——On Chatman’s Narrative Theory of Novels and Films

论文着重探究查特曼确认"非叙述"到"叙述"的转变内涵,从查特曼"非叙述"的含义及其形式入手,再以文学与电影中叙述者的必然存在来辩驳"非叙述"的谬误,并论述《法国中尉的女人》小说与被改编电影之间的差异。

This paper attempts to explore the connotation of chatman's theory of the transition from "non narrative" to "narrative".First of all,the meaning and form of chatman's "non narrative" are discussed."non narrative" means the absence of media narration or narrators.Then,the inevitable existence of narrators in literature and movies is used to refute the fallacy of "non narrative".Finally,the practical application of narration discusses in detail the differences between the novel of The French Lieutenant's Woman and its adapted film.
