Application of PDCA Cycle in the Management of Medicine Cabinet in Standardized Ward

目的探讨规范病区药柜管理的有效方法,保障患者安全。方法应用PDCA循环管理,分析病区药品管理存在的问题,提出系统改进的方案,督促落实,持续改善,提升管理质量。结果实施PDCA管理后,病区药柜管理过程中,存在缺陷的科室率由原来的50.00%下降至3.00%,药品混放、标识不清、帐物不符等突出问题发生的频次亦明显下降。结论 PDCA循环法对于提升病区药柜管理质量有明显促进作用。

Objective To explore an effective method for regulating the management of medicine cabinets in wards to ensure patient safety.Methods PDCA cycle management was applied to analyze the problems existing in drug management in ward, and proposed a system improvement plan, supervised implementation, continuous improvement, and improved management quality.Results After the implementation of PDCA management, the rate of defective departments in the management of ward medicine cabinets decreased from 50.00% to 3.00%. The frequency of prominent problems such as drug mixing, unclear identification and inconsistent accounts also decreased significantly.Conclusion The PDCA circulation method has a significant effect on improving the quality of medicine cabinet management in wards.
