A Study on Adult English Reading Teaching Based on Context Construction

摘要 英语阅读教学是基于特定语境的教学,也是成人学习者学习英语的重要途径。成人学习者作为终身教育的重要参与者,具有多样化、个性化和职业化特点,因此其语言学习具有独特性。分析开放教育非英语专业成人学习者英语阅读教学现状,剖析成人学习者在英语阅读方面遇到的困境,提出通过引导成人学习者多层次建构文本预设语境、读者认知语境、话语情景语境和话语文化语境,帮助成人学习者有效认知语境、理解语境、运用语境,实现英语阅读教学科学化、高效化和个性化,尝试为成人英语阅读教学提供新视角和新思路。 English reading teaching is not only based on the specific context, but also is an important way for adult learners to learn English. As important participants in lifelong education, adult learners have the characteristics of diversification, personality and professionalism. Therefore, their language learning is unique. Based on the current situation of English reading teaching of non-English majors in National Open University and the dilemma faced by adult learners in English reading, this paper tries to help adult learners to effectively understand and use the context in order to make English reading teaching scientific, efficient and personalized, and tries to provide a new perspective and new ideas for adult English reading teaching by guiding adult learners to construct text presuppositon contexts, readers’ cognitive context, discourse context and discourse culture context.
