The May 4th Movement took place in a period of great historical turning point and undertook a special historical mission.Moreover,it fused the mobilization and agglomeration effect of mass media,so it had obvious transitional characteristics.From the perspective of space criticism,we can clarify the origin of the May 4th Movement and Marxism,which is helpful to present it in a richer,more three-dimensional and more complete image.The emergence and development of the May 4th Movement promoted the fission and remodeling of the spatial pattern,which created a field environment for the wide spread of Marxism,nurtured and trained the main force,and enriched the spatial narrative mode.We should adhere to the viewpoint of complete and accurate and the unity of contingency and inevitability to understand the relationship between the May 4th Movement and Marxism.And we should not only see the complexity and tortuosity of the road to salvation and survival,but also see the inevitability of the May 4th Movement in promoting the spread of Marxism.The key point is to effectively promote the popularization of Marxism by relying on the era conditions of media convergence.
